Jesus is the Word of God who holds all things together, became a human being "in the flesh" to free us from sin, and fulfills all God's promises for the whole world. Jesus is the light of the world, the gateway to heaven, the great healer and provider of all our needs, the good shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep--only to pick it up again. As you follow Jesus throughout this study of the Savior's life and teaching, we pray that you, like John, may grow to become one of Jesus' closest disciples.
